Ok, so I love this senior with all my heart. And it not just because she's my new neice. She is one of the most genuinely nice young woman I have the pleasure of knowing. And her style & personality are completely unique. We had such a blast at this session, at one point I was laughing so hard I almost peed my pants. (Remember the dress getting stuck elli?) And we came away from it with a lot of stories for her mother. Like getting kicked off some property for trespassing and having old men (30 years old is old to an 18 year old) whistle, cat call, and even take her picture with their own camera. I present Elli...

Well, I know I fell off the face of the earth but life got a lil' hectic & so I had to take care of first things first, which put my photography on the back burner. But I'm back and open for booking sessions again & so excited that I am. I really love this part of my life and have missed it immensely.

I had the opportunity to captured this beautiful family a couple of weeks ago. It was definitely cold out and I'm so proud of the lil kids for being so good through it all.

Don’t you just love how life switches gears when September rolls around? I do. My days become a bit more predictable, schedules for athletics and school events rule my plans, and I even begin to think about the holidays.

I’ve recently affiliated with a national program called Safe T Kids. The Safe T Kids campaign is an ID program that provides peace of mind to parents. Safe T Kids records your children’s images and information to have on hand in the event it is ever needed. You’ll get an ID card, and the information is also stored online. If an Amber Alert should ever have to be called, law enforcement officials would be able to get immediate access to your child’s photo and information. I understand that no parent wants to dwell on this, but if the unthinkable happens, it’s best to be prepared. During your child’s birthday month I’ll give you a free birthday session and a Safe T Kids ID card. I’ll also set up a booth at community events for your convenience and to introduce the program to our friends and neighbors.

Well, since we have been blessed abundantly with what feels like record breaking rain this summer in our desert state, we do not have a beach suitable for the "Day at the Beach" mini sessions that are planned for the end of the month (the water was all the way up to the road at the beach I had planned for). But, do not despair! As my good friends from out of state show here, we got some fantastic shots close to where I was planning the mini-sessions. These are so beautiful and I'm almost willing to say better than what I was planning on the beach. So I'm changing the "Day at the Beach" mini-sessions to "Countryside Picnic Pursuits". This family has been my good friends for over 10 years now. Wow, how time flies. I can't believe how big their boys are getting, and let me tell you... that lil' one sure made me baby hungry, what a doll! I sure do miss them since they've moved away. KT has been such a strength to me at some very low points in my life, & I'm honored that she came all the way over here just so I can take her family picutes... LOL, well, I can pretend that is why she came all the way back to UT. Anyway, this was such a fun session & we were so lucky to have a rainbow. I thurouly enjoyed it. And lil C (ok, maybe I should say big C now that he is an older brother) even thanked me for taking his family pictures as we were saying g'bye. Melt my HEART!

I truly LOVE this couple!! For one, Jake is my lil' brother and he has been with Shantay for over 4 years & I love her like she is my own sister. I'm so excited that they are getting married this summer and that I get to take all their engagement, bridal and wedding pictures. They are such a cute couple. The story behind this shoot... Well, we were driving out to Willard Bay to get some nice shots on one of the docks & Shantay jokingly (at least I think it was jokingly) suggested as we drove by Smith & Edwards that we take some pictures in their junk yard, & well... we did. I think they turned out fantastic and I love the ornery faces. Very cat walk, grunge, trash model. Such a fun couple, I really enjoyed capturing some of their real personalities in some of these images... what goofballs! Thanks so much you two! I custom make announcements also, so the first 2 images I have on here are just a sample I made for them, they are not their real announcements.

I'm so excited about 'em. What a perfect way to start the year... with a newborn session. Maggie was just 5 days old when we did this shoot. Which is a PERFECT age for newborns because they are still so flexible and moldable and sleepy ;) Her parents were so accommodating and cooperative with whatever I wanted to do. It's such a pleasure to work with families like that. Maggie is so lucky to have such cute and attentive parents. You should see how this daddy already dotes on his daughter. She already has him wrapped around her lil finger. I absolutely loved doing this session! It was so much fun. I couldn't narrow down the pictures to post less than this, it was such a hard decision. Here is the preview...

How fun is this place?!? This is my second session this year with this family. They are so "modelishious"! (Yes, I made that word up.) But look at them... they are like straight out of a Gap advertisement. And their lil' man is just adorable. It was a shame that after all these great shots he took a little spill down some concrete steps :( Poor lil' guy!

These are my next door neighbors. I just LOVE them! They really are the best neighbors a gal could wish for. I'm so sad to be moving away from them next week. But I won't be too far so the m'boys will still be able to get together with them to play. I don't know how their mommy does it day in & day out with a pre-schooler and twin 6 month olds. I have to admit it was a harder session with twins (my first session with twin babies). She is my HERO, and extremely good friend. I think of her as a sister,... truly. I'm so glad we got such great shots during this session.

Well my calendar is full & I have booked my last session for the year. Thanks to all those who have supported me, trusted me & been patient with me in this & helped me fill my calendar & to those who have helped out with m'boys while I'm out on a shoot. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am SO extremely excited for the new year and the changes I have coming for my business with the re-grand opening. Details will be coming soon after the new year. The wind was blowing so hard this day, we had a hard time getting any shots without her hair blowing & it was FREEZING, but we did get some very awesome shots nonetheless. Isn't she beautiful? I used to babysit her and her sibs... a long time ago & here she is a senior about to graduate from HS. Man I feel old!
