{In the Know ~ July 2009}

Are you enjoying your summer? I sure am, but it’s not slow and lazy, I'm as busy as ever. I want to let you know about an exciting new promotion I'm staging this fall. It’s my Santa Charity Event that I will be doing with GivingIsAwesome. Think of someone you know that deserves custom photography but can't afford it. You know someone. You know someone who's experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can't afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family's spirit, love, and beauty. You know someone. I guarantee it. Nominations will be accepted starting this fall so keep this in mind. Details & rules will be posted at the beginning of this promotion. Please spread the word. Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the winner receives a print credit. What better reason to show some love could there possibly be?

Day at the Beach mini-sessions scheduled for the end of this month have been changed to Countryside Picnic Pursuits due to the high rain volumes earlier this summer have made our beach disappear. Samples of the NEW Countryside Picnic Pursuits are directly below this post. Spots are still available for July 30th & 31st and also adding August 1st. Mini-sessions are 30 minutes for $50 with packages starting at $35. Call or e-mail immediately to make sure you get your session scheduled before all spots are filled.

I'm hosting a party! A Facebook party!
More and more we’re connecting through social media, so why not look your best to all your old and new online friends? Get some friends together and join the fun for my weekly Facebook FĂȘte. Most every Wednesday evening, Captured By Lisa Photography, LLC hosts a Facebook FĂȘte. Come and enjoy a welcome break from your hectic week. I’ll treat
you to a cold beverage and a tasty treat while you take a moment to relax and be pampered. For only $25, you’ll get an image you’d be proud to share on the World Wide Web. Bring a friend or two and you’ll each get an image for $12.50. The portrait session will last 10 minutes, and you’ll have a choice of locations to create a casual, personality-driven image. A few days after your portrait’s taken, the image will be uploaded to the Captured By Lisa Photography, LLC album, and I’ll email you a link so you can download the image yourself to your desktop to use on your social networking or e-dating sites.

I want you to be the first to know about my 48-Hour-the-more-you-spend-the-more-you-save sale! Purchase a $75 certificate on September 4th and September 5th, and receive an additional $25. The more certificates you buy, the more money you save on everything from portrait sessions, prints & albums. There is no limit to how many certificates you may purchase, but the certificates must be purchased September 4th & 5th.

Are you considering updating your family portrait this summer? Make the most of nature’s beauty, and have a family portrait session in one of our lovely local parks. Take advantage of the beautiful landscapes in our area, I’ve scouted out several breathtaking locations to suit every family’s style. Want a portrait in a formal garden? Beneath lush trees with billowing grasses? How about a backdrop that is pure Utah? I’ve got the perfect location for you!

Is your lil' ones birthday coming up? Even if it's almost another year away, e-mail me and let me know your children's birthdays so I can add them to our birthday list. When it's their birthday I will send a certificate in the mail for one complimentary associate birthday session & 8 birthday signature wallets. This is a $120 value. So be sure to get me those dates so you won't miss out!

If you would like to be one of the first to be notified for events, specials & promotions, email me with your contact info.

{Munns Fam - Countryside Picnic Pursuits}

Well, since we have been blessed abundantly with what feels like record breaking rain this summer in our desert state, we do not have a beach suitable for the "Day at the Beach" mini sessions that are planned for the end of the month (the water was all the way up to the road at the beach I had planned for). But, do not despair! As my good friends from out of state show here, we got some fantastic shots close to where I was planning the mini-sessions. These are so beautiful and I'm almost willing to say better than what I was planning on the beach. So I'm changing the "Day at the Beach" mini-sessions to "Countryside Picnic Pursuits". Dates, times & prices for this will remain the same, details HERE. Enjoy, these & I look forward to seeing YOU at the mini-sessions in a couple of weeks. Be sure to call soon to reserve your spot.

This family has been my good friends for over 10 years now. Wow, how time flies. I can't believe how big their boys are getting, and let me tell you... that lil' one sure made me baby hungry, what a doll! I sure do miss them since they've moved away. KT has been such a strength to me at some very low points in my life, & I'm honored that she came all the way over here just so I can take her family picutes... LOL, well, I can pretend that is why she came all the way back to UT. Anyway, this was such a fun session & we were so lucky to have a rainbow. I thurouly enjoyed it. And lil C (ok, maybe I should say big C now that he is an older brother) even thanked me for taking his family pictures as we were saying g'bye. Melt my HEART!
